To my way of thinking it is only ignorant people who believe that bingo is a game for fools. Many people say that it is a waste of time, it is only played by common or working class people and that they wouldn’t be caught dead playing the game, and besides it is boring! This is so untrue and could only come from an ignorant person who has no knowledge of the game of bingo, or the impact it has had on the world.
There is far more to playing a game of bingo than meets the eye. It is a game that has a long and rich history. It is a game that has been used to raise funds for charity, played at county fairs, played only by the elite, used as a teaching aid for children and adults alike and been used to stimulate and exercise the minds of the elderly. Bingo has the adaptability that no other game has.
Bingo has been played by statesmen, royalty, celebrities and virtually people from all walks of life and they are not embarrassed to admit that they love the game. There is a special kind of thrill that comes when a bingo players sees they have two to go, then one to go and their number comes up to call bingo on the full house. It gets the adrenaline pumping and all the excitement of the game comes to the fore. It doesn’t matter where you play, the thrill is the same for everyone who enjoys playing bingo.
Bingo clubs, whether online or land based, provide a variety of entertainment factors for members. There are side games and chat rooms online and in land based clubs, there are slots as well s food and drinks to be had. Chatting and socializing with friends is a big plus in both forms of the game and there are a great variety of bingo games that may be played. It used to be that in the UK, only ninety ball bingo was played, and although this has become a staunch tradition with people of the UK. Playing bingo is not limited to this form of the game only.
Eighty, seventy five and thirty ball bingo are all available as well as Scandinavian bingo, although I do not really have great knowledge of this game it cannot digress too much from the original.
